Assistant to the Director

432 Presents is a concert promotions company empowered by its independence and dedicated to bringing cutting-edge live music events to Scotland (and beyond).

We promote over 600 events each year, including The Great Western and The Great Eastern, multi-venue festivals of musical exploration and discovery in Glasgow and Edinburgh respectively, The National Whisky Festival of Scotland in multiple cities, as well as ongoing collaborations with esteemed music and arts festivals such as Doune the Rabbit Hole, Celtic Connections, Edinburgh Fringe and Edinburgh International Festival.

The role includes working closely with the director in the daily running of 432 Presents and its associated operations. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the director with organisational, financial and personal administration on a daily basis
  • Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the director is well prepared for meetings
  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations
  • Screening phone calls, emails and requests, and handling them when appropriate
  • Liaising with accountants and bookkeepers to ensure they have everything they need to accurately submit company accounts
  • Ensuring policy documentation and contracts are up to date and accurate.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff
  • Monitoring and reporting company performance
  • Managing personnel
  • Organising logistics
  • Co-ordinating and enabling smooth communications between departments
  • Booking transport and hotels

Skills/experience - Experience in a similar role is highly desired but not essential - Excellent organisational and time management skills, accuracy and attention to detail - Strong writing skills - Strong mathematical and analytical skills
