NEW VACANCY - PRODUCTION MANAGER

JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION MANAGER

Location: Glasgow (with some hybrid flexibility)

Contract: Full-time, Part-time (Pro Rata), or Freelance – open to the right candidate

Salary: DOE

OVERVIEW:

432 Presents is a concert promotions company, based in Glasgow, empowered by its independence, and dedicated to bringing cutting-edge live music events to Scotland (and beyond).

We're looking for a Production Manager to support our Head of Production in ensuring shows run smoothly, safely, and professionally.

You’ll be part of a small, fast-moving team and will liaise directly with artists, venues, suppliers, and reps across a wide range of productions — from grassroots gigs to large-scale concerts and festivals. This is a hands-on role for someone organised, calm under pressure, and passionate about live music.

We’re open to different working arrangements — whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, or freelance work — as long as you bring the right experience and attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Event Planning and Coordination

● Assist the Head of Production in coordinating all logistical elements of 432 events

● Liaise with artists, agents, venues, and suppliers to gather and confirm production requirements

● Prepare and maintain production schedules, event packs, and venue specs

● Book production staff, freelance crew, and hired equipment as needed

● Ensure reps have the necessary information and are briefed appropriately

● Support internal communication between teams (marketing, ticketing, operations)

Technical Production

● Help advance technical details for shows, ensuring artist riders and venue capabilities align

● Communicate with venue techs, hire companies, and tour managers to confirm plans

● Support on-the-ground delivery at events — occasionally acting as point-of-contact at load-in and soundcheck

● Flag any production issues early and escalate to the Head of Production when needed

Budget Support:

● Support tracking of production costs (crew, equipment, transport etc.)

● Collect and file invoices for reconciliation

● Help identify where production costs can be streamlined or improved

Health and Safety Compliance:

● Assist in ensuring venues and reps meet H&S requirements for shows

● Help with risk assessments and support the creation of show-specific safety notes

● Monitor artist and public safety during key phases of load-in, performance, and load-out

Team and Stakeholder Support:

● Work closely with reps and freelancers to ensure a consistent standard across events

● Represent 432 in a friendly and professional manner to artists and partners

● Maintain clear and respectful communication at all stages of the event cycle

● Be available to step in and assist across multiple projects when needed

REQUIREMENTS:

● Experience in live music production (venue, touring, or festival work)

● Excellent organisation and communication skills

● Ability to manage multiple events at once, across varying scales and complexities

● Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends

● Confidence working under pressure and solving problems calmly and logically

● Familiarity with advancing, basic tech specs, and understanding of event flow

● A positive, can-do attitude and a love for live music

● Driving licence preferred, but not essential

OUR ETHOS:

432 Presents is a safer space. All our staff are trained by the Good Night Out Campaign, and we work to create inclusive and respectful environments across every show we produce.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all backgrounds. If you love music and want to be part of a small but mighty team shaping the future of live events in the UK, we’d love to hear from you.
