Heathen Apostles, the long-running LA gothic Americana/dark roots outfit, premiere their protest music video for “No Peace (No Justice mix)” today, via Ratchet Blade Records. The track, the lead cut from the band’s split EP with doom dub outfit the Vladiators, was originally written in 2021 in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and the ensuing protests. This new mix rebuilds it heavier — Mather Louth‘s vocal driving over a darker dub/doom arrangement, with Luis Mascaro’s violin cutting through Chopper Franklin‘s bass and guitar. And there couldn’t be a better time to release it than now.
