The FOLK DRAMA are Edinburgh songwriter Aaron Wright & Los Angeles songstress Violeta who swapped Palm trees for stone tenements, and never once complained about the light.

They met in a Glasgow pub two days before lock down, quickly discovered a shared love of The Beach Boys, Arthur Lee & Pavement and formed the FOLK DRAMA.

Lockdown hit and they moved into a flat together in the west end of Glasgow where songs were written and demoed on an IPhone.

The duo have recently supported the likes of Pete Docherty & Babyshambles, Ben Ottewell (Gomez) and were in Paul Heaton’s (The Beautiful South) top songs of 2025 with their single ‘Referee’

Their debut album is due in October 2026 via Assai / VF Recordings.
