Celtic Connections: Adam Beattie & Fiona Bevan + The Willow Trio
Adam Beattie + Fiona Bevan + The Willow Trio
Entry Requirements: 18+
Intimate folk storytelling and delicate vocals from masterful singer-songwriters.
Adam Beattie from Aberdeenshire met Fiona Bevan from Suffolk on the London scene, where they started a long term collaboration.
Join them for a memorable show packed with meaningful songs and exquisite musicianship.
Scottish singer-songwriter and finger-style guitarist Adam Beattie combines his roots in traditional melodies with his distinctive voice and narrative lyrics. Fresh off the heels of his critically acclaimed album of "uplifting reveries of love and romantic balladry" (Mojo Magazine), Beattie will play songs from his forthcoming album ‘Home Fires Burning’, a home-spun epic exploring family and belonging, set to melodies evocative of the fiddle tunes he grew up playing.
Sharing this double headline is Canadian-British singer-songwriter Fiona Bevan, a multi-instrumentalist with a delicate, passionate voice, and a cinematic dream-folk sound, creating "startling odysseys" (The Guardian). Bevan is also a multiplatinum songwriter, known for writing hits for artists like Lewis Capaldi, Billie Marten and Aurora. Expect a captivating set of her own material, from an artist who has toured with Ed Sheeran and Nick Mulvey.
This is a chance to see two exceptional musicians and storytellers sharing the stage for an evening of beautifully crafted and emotionally rich music.
