Love’n’Joy
Love’n’Joy - Kyiv-based rock group is one of the most successful Ukrainian live bands internationally, playing hundreds of concerts per year all over Europe, including festivals like Reeperbahn and support acts for Kikagaku Moyo, Boogarins, The Shivas and Petrol Girls with the plans to expand to the US and Canada in 2023.
Their music is filled with sunny 60s vibes, the sea breeze of the Crimean coast, and trippy psychedelia. But they also have elements of hard rock – with Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin among their influences – and plenty of heavy guitars, which give their sound a rougher edge. The strong lyrics reflect the spirit of a new, resurgent Ukrainian culture.
They have released two studio albums, one EP, and a number of singles. The first album “Bender on the Silk Road” was released in 2019, followed by extensive touring and media coverage it was sold out on vinyl and tapes.
The new prophetic LP ‘Half-home’ released on 2nd September 2022 speaks about the state of uncertainty and isolation from home. It was finished 3 days before the russian invasion of Ukraine at the band's home recording studio "Crimy Rec" in Kyiv. The new release has already been supported by KEXP radio, Kerrang! Magazine, Bandcamp, Europavox, and various other media.
Being chosen as the flagship band for the new platform Fairsound based in Middlesbrough/UK, Love'n'Joy are planning to release a new limited edition of vinyl and embark on their first UK tour in December 2023.
