Glasgow Jazz Festival Presents: Matt Carmichael Quartet The Blue Arrow Jazz Club, Glasgow

Matt Carmichael is a 20 year old saxophonist/composer from Scotland who has played at festivals including Love Supreme, Edinburgh Jazz Festival, Newport Jazz Festival USA, Celtic Connections and has had his music featured on BBC Radio 3, BBC Scotland and Jazz FM. 

Matt’s original compositions are influenced by jazz and folk and feature some of the most exciting musicians in the UK who have all played together since their mid teens - pianist Fergus McCreadie (Best instrumentalist - Scottish Jazz Awards) , Tom Potter (UK Young drummer of the Year winner) and Ali Watson (In demand London bassist).
