Having formed in early 2016 Glasgow indie pop four piece wojtek the bear quickly set to work on recording their début single "dead from the waist up" with Catholic Action's Chris McCrory. The band, comprised of Martin, Neil, Graham and Tam, self-released the single digitally and on limited edition cassette on June 17th, supported with a video shot by Beth Chalmers whose recent clients include Low and Marthfa Ffion, and announced themselves to the world with a launch gig at the dank and lovingly unrestored Govanhill Baths. Since it's release the band have appeared on STV's Live at Five show, Vic Galloway's show on BBC Radio Scotland, been featured on the BBC Scotland Introducing podcast and were "song of the week" on BBC Radio Gaelic's Rapal show.
