Crow Hill...

A small, isolated town... its dark history, twisted and unseen, rising steadily towards the surface, threatening to consume a landscape that it no longer recognises.

The sprawling innards of abandoned C-90 cassette tapes, containing the distorted confessions of strangers litter these streets...

A beast (once a terrifying local legend) is reduced the status of an urban fox. A prowling sentinel, forgotten and un-feared...

A high school teacher regales a disinterested classroom with the (dubious) tale of an Egyptian canine being struck by a meteorite...

Family and friends look on in horror as one of their own wilfully (and violently) devolves into a sea creature and begins his painful crawl, back to the primordial soup...

All the while, cloaked figures look on, growing steadily in number. Silent and elemental as they bear witness to the events of the day.

Crow Hill is a place where fiction intrudes upon reality, haunting those who have neglected its teachings and devalued its message...

Our monsters are as real as our better angels. We must take great care in how we tend to them.

Line Up

Edinburgh's Neil Pennycook began writing and performing as Meursault in 2008. His first record 'Pissing on Bonfires/Kissing with Tongues' received a great deal of praise from a host of pundits and his subsequent releases have been equally well received, leading to tours in mainstream Europe, Russia and the States, as well as slots at prominent festivals, including Glastonbury, T in the Park, End of the Road and more. This month sees the release of the 'Simple is Good' EP which is already receiving glowing reviews ahead an album release in February 2017.

Kits (stylised KITS). Kit - noun - a small fur-bearing animal. KITS is the one-person sad-techno project of Jayson Turner, a Computer Scientist living in Glasgow. KITS combines vocals, synths, and various bleepy boxes to create simple and meaningful songs ranging from the ecstatically positive to the devastatingly bleak. Fundamentally it’s like LCD Soundsystem, but you can’t dance to it.
