SO LOW presents: PHEW
So Low presents a live performance from Japan’s Phew at The Blue Arrow Club, 323 Sauchiehall St.
Phew has a mind-blowing musical pedigree going back until the late 70s when she was a founder of Osaka punk group Aunt Sally who released on the seminal Vanity Records.
Since then she has collaborated with musicians such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Holger Czukay, Jaki Liebezeit, Chrislo Haas, Alexander Hacke, Dieter Moebius Jim O'Rourke and Ana da Silva and released a succession of groundbreaking albums.
She appeared in Glasgow a few months ago with Ana da Siva (The Raincoats) and enjoyed it so much that she requested a return trip to play her first Glasgow solo performance in the company of So Low.
So Low crew will be playing their favourite music from Japan before Phew plays.
Doors will be 7.30pm. Event will end around midnight. Tickets will be £8 on the door.
